My name is Leyna Johnson Nguyen, I am a licensed clinical social worker in the state of New York. I knew I wanted to work as a helping professional since I was in grade school. Mental Health therapy became my goal after personally dealing with anxiety and depression. I completed my Psychology BA from SUNY Geneseo. Right as I was ready to apply to graduate school, my best friend passed with issues related to alcohol use. This fueled my interest in addiction and its impact on families.

I completed my certificate in Substance Abuse Counselling in 2016 and worked in the field while pursuing my Master in Social Work degree from University of Buffalo. After graduation, I worked at a community mental health clinic for 5 years before starting my private practice.
